Resumen:
A program for the search for symmetric structures behind features of the standard Model is launched. After discussing it and addressing some features of known no-go theorems, we construct some concrete symmetry extensions involving both gauge and Lorentz symmetries. We then provide a field theory model with such a local symmetry, which is in turn invariant under local Lorentz transformations, and some standard gauge group that recovers gauge as well as Higg's potentials. Then we proceed to enlarge the symmetry to include some extension of the Poincaré algebra. A field theory model arises that reproduces some of the features of the coupling to gravity.
